Abstract

The study aimed to present a future vision to activate the role of Saudi universities in developing the culture of volunteer work among faculty members in light of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. The study used the descriptive survey method by applying the questionnaire tool to a random sample of faculty members at King Faisal University in Al-Ahsa. Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University in Al Kharj, Taibah University in Medina, and Hail University in Hail, where the sample number reached (374) members, The study reached a number of results, the most important of which is that the facilities provided by the university have a major role in developing the culture of volunteer work among faculty members from their point of view, as the average of their responses regarding the role of the facilities provided by the university in developing the culture of volunteer work among faculty members was (3.43 out of 5.00). ), and that there are no statistically significant differences in enhancing the role of Saudi universities in developing the culture of volunteer work among faculty members due to the variable of gender and university, and the presence of statistically significant differences due to the academic rank variable in favor of the professor’s rank, The obstacles facing the university to promote a culture of volunteer work among faculty members also have a significant impact from their point of view, as the average of their responses to the obstacles facing the university to promote a culture of volunteer work among faculty members was (3.42 out of 5.00), The proposals that enhance the university’s role in developing a culture of volunteer work among faculty members are very important from their point of view, as the average of their responses to the proposals that enhance the university’s role in developing a culture of volunteer work among faculty members was (4.30 out of 5.00), and the study was developed according to These results have a future vision that includes a number of elements and pillars

The study also recommended the need to work to reduce the administrative burden on faculty members in a way that contributes to them devoting themselves to volunteer work, the need to find specialized centers in the field of volunteer work in Saudi universities, and the need to limit university teaching requirements in academic departments.

هدفت الدراسة إلى تقديم رؤية مستقبليّة لتفعيل دور الجامعات السعودية في تنمية ثقافة العمل التطوّعي لدى أعضاء هيئة التدريس في ضوء رؤية المملكة العربية السعودية 2030، واستخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي المسحي من خلال تطبيق أداة الاستبانة على عينة عشوائية من أعضاء هيئة التدريس في جامعة الملك فيصل بالأحساء، وجامعة الأمير سطام بن عبد العزيز بالخرج، وجامعة طيبة بالمدينة المنورة، وجامعة حائل بحائل، حيث بلغ عدد العينة (374) عضوًا، وتوصلت الدراسة إلى عدد من النتائج أهمها أن التسهيلات التي تقدمها الجامعة لها دور كبير في تنمية ثقافة العمل التطوّعي لدى أعضاء هيئة التدريس من وجهة نظرهم، حيث بلغ متوسط استجاباتهم نحو دور التسهيلات التي تقدمها الجامعة لتنمية ثقافة العمل التطوّعي لدى أعضاء هيئة التدريس (3.43 من 5.00)، وإلى عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية لتعزيز دور الجامعات السعودية في تنمية ثقافة العمل التطوّعي لدى أعضاء هيئة التدريس تعزى لمتغير الجنس والجامعة، ووجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية تعزى لمتغير الرتبة العلمية لصالح رتبة الأستاذ، كما أن المعوّقات التيّ تواجه الجامعة لتعزيز ثقافة العمل التطوّعي لدى أعضاء هيئة التدريس تؤثر بدرجة كبيرة من وجهة نظرهم، حيث بلغ متوسط استجاباتهم نحو المعوّقات التيّ تواجه الجامعة لتعزيز ثقافة العمل التطوّعي لدى أعضاء هيئة التدريس (3.42 من 5.00)، وأن المقترحات التي تعزز دور الجامعة لتنمية ثقافة العمل التطوّعي لدى أعضاء هيئة التدريس لها أهمية بدرجة كبيرة جداً من وجهة نظرهم، حيث بلغ متوسط استجاباتهم نحو المقترحات التي تعزز دور الجامعة لتنمية ثقافة العمل التطوّعي لدى أعضاء هيئة التدريس (4.30 من 5.00)، ووضعت الدراسة وفقًا لهذه النتائج رؤية مستقبلية تتضمن عدد من العناصر والأركان.

كما أوصت الدراسة بضرورة العمل على تخفيف العبء الإداري على أعضاء هيئة التدريس بما يسهم في تفرغهم للعمل التطوعي، وضرورة إيجاد مراكز متخصصة في مجال العمل التطوعي بالجامعات السعودية، وضرورة الحد من متطلبات التدريس الجامعي في الأقسام الأكاديمية.
