About This Journal

Journal of King Abdulaziz University: Engineering Sciences is a peer-reviewed periodical issued by King Abdulaziz University (KAU) in the fields of Engineering Sciences. The journal publishes original results of outstanding high-quality studies in order to achieve intellectual and scientific growth in the Kingdom. The results of research and studies are published in the fields of Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mining Engineering, and Nuclear Engineering.

Peer Review Process

The submitted manuscripts are initially evaluated for their originality, scientific merit, and novelty. Manuscripts that are not found within the scope of the journal and those without any significance for advancing the knowledge in the field will be rejected at the initial stage. Manuscripts that are not prepared according to author guidelines or with language errors will be returned to the authors for revision. Those manuscripts that fall within the scope of the journal and are prepared according to the guidelines will be sent to two specialized experts for evaluation.

KAU Journal of Engineering Sciences provides a double-anonymized peer review process in which the reviewer and author’s names and information are withheld from the other. All manuscripts are reviewed as rapidly as possible. Reviewers are encouraged to make comments to the author(s) and recommendations to the Editor.
