Aims and Scope
KAU-JEA is dedicated to advancing high-quality research in business, economics, finance, accounting, management, and public administration. It welcomes rigorous and innovative studies that improve understanding of how organizations, markets, public institutions, and financial systems adapt to economic transformation, financial innovation, and digital disruption.
The journal encourages interdisciplinary research that integrates insights from economics, finance, business strategy, entrepreneurship, management sciences, public administration, information systems, and policy analysis. It particularly values work that connects scholarly inquiry to practical implications for evidence-based policy, strategic management, institutional reform, and sustainable business practices.

Methodological Focus
The journal welcomes theoretical modeling, empirical analysis, case studies, experimental research, bibliometric studies, meta-analyses, systematic literature reviews, qualitative research, mixed-methods studies, and policy-oriented research. Studies integrating multidisciplinary perspectives or combining quantitative and qualitative approaches are particularly encouraged.
Article Types
The following article types are accepted. This consolidated list replaces earlier repeated and inconsistent lists in the source document.
- Research Articles: Comprehensive empirical or theoretical studies that advance knowledge and provide clear implications for practice, policy, or future research. Normally up to 9,000-10,000 words, excluding references and appendices.
- Conceptual and Theoretical Papers: Papers that develop, refine, synthesize, or challenge theoretical frameworks and conceptual models. Normally up to 8,000-10,000 words.
- Review Articles / Systematic Literature Reviews: Integrative reviews, systematic reviews, bibliometric studies, and meta-analytic studies that synthesize existing research, identify gaps, and propose future research directions. Normally up to 10,000 words.
- Policy and Practice Papers: Manuscripts translating academic research into actionable insights for policymakers, business leaders, and administrators. Normally up to 6,000-8,000 words.
- Case Studies: Analytical examinations of organizations, industries, markets, or policy environments with lessons for business practice, management innovation, or economic reform. Normally up to 6,000-8,000 words.
- Short Communications / Research Notes: Concise reports of preliminary findings, methodological innovations, replication evidence, or emerging research ideas of timely scholarly value. Normally up to 3,000 words and no more than four combined tables and figures.
Special Issues and Thematic Areas
KAU-JEA may publish special issues on emerging topics such as Islamic finance innovation and digital transformation; economic diversification and Vision 2030 implementation; ESG finance and ethical business; entrepreneurship and labor market dynamics; and global economic shocks, resilience, and crisis management. Special issues must follow the same peer-review, ethics, and editorial standards as regular submissions.
