Abstract

The transition from traditional to technology-enhanced education varies across countries, and research has primarily focused on how information and communication technology (ICT) has merged with and transformed educational systems. To provide a thorough understanding of this educational transformation, scholars have employed diverse frameworks thus far. In this study, the DEMATEL (decision-making trial and evaluation laboratory) method was used to identify the most crucial factor of sustainable educational reforms in the field of information and communication technology (ICT). In the process of conceptualizing and evaluating sustainable educational advancements, 10 characteristics are used as criteria to assess the major determinant of sustainable information and communication technology. The study findings indicate that impacts encompass infrastructure development, pedagogical innovation, curricular integration, and monitoring and assessment. These influential characteristics indicate that other aspects, such as policy choices, allocation of resources, or strategies for execution, are likely to influence them. Investments in instructional technology or legislative decisions can result in improved infrastructure development, including enhanced hardware accessibility and faster internet connectivity.
