About This Journal

Journal of King Abdulaziz University: Computing and Information Technology Sciences is a peer-reviewed bi-annual journal published by the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology since 2010. It is interested in publishing research and scientific studies in different disciplines related to computer science and information technology and their applications.

It is the author’s responsibility to ensure that the manuscript is novel, original, and never published in the past in any form of media. This manuscript is 100% original and unpublished. The manuscript has not been published in parts (figures/text/tables) in any conference proceedings or journal in any media, language, or format. Similarity should be less than 15%.

Types of Articles

  • Original Research Articles: Original research articles should present attractive studies, new advances, and knowledge about a topic of significance. The original Research Article must be supported by the results.
  • Reviews: Reviews provide a logical survey and inspection of a particular subject of research. The review paper should include the significance of the works cited, justification of conflict in the literature, and analysis of the field. The conclusion section should include the limitations, the importance of the research area, and future directions to be pursued in research.
  • Research Trends: The research trends explain new research topics in the form of a mini-review. It summarizes the same general topic or significance of the talks in a specific field. This can help the author(s) to write an article for future trends.

  • Increase Submissions: Encourage high-quality contributions by removing financial barriers and actively promoting calls for papers.
  • Expand Global Reach: Achieve inclusion in prominent abstracting and indexing platforms, such as Google Scholar and DOAJ, to broaden accessibility and readership.

Journal of King Abdulaziz University: Computing and Information Technology Sciences indexed the accepted papers in CrossRef database.

Peer Review Process

Authors are immediately acknowledged on their submission through an electronic receipt. Afterwards, submissions go through an internal screening. The editorial board sends the submission for external double-blind peer review after finding it suitable in the internal screening. Editorial decisions are made after receiving the review reports, which may include acceptance, rejection, or revision of the submission. If revisions are not received well in time, it will be treated as a new submission.

The editorial board handles each submission confidentially, confirming that decisions are unbiased and timely. The board reserves the rights to reject or accept the paper based on conformity with the editorial policies.

The journal's editorial office respects the privacy of the authors and reviewers and makes every reasonable attempt to protect their individual information.

The average processing time between article submission and publication is approximately 16 weeks.
