About This Journal
The Journal of KING ABDULAZIZ UNIVERSITY: MARINE SCIENCES is a peer-reviewed, bi-annual, open-access journal with free publication fees. The journal is abstracted and indexed in SCOPUS.
It is the authors’ responsibility to ensure that the manuscript is novel, original, and has never been published in any form or media. The corresponding author should provide a declarative statement that the paper is not an extended or modified version of any conference or journal, and that this manuscript is 100% original and unpublished. The manuscript must not have been published in parts (figures, text, or tables) in any conference proceedings or journal, in any media, language, or format. The similarity index should be less than 10%.
Peer Review Process
The submitted manuscripts are initially evaluated for their originality, scientific merit, and novelty. Manuscripts that do not fall within the scope of the journal or lack significance in advancing knowledge in marine sciences will be rejected at the initial stage.
Manuscripts that do not adhere to the author guidelines or contain language errors will be returned to the authors for revision. Manuscripts that meet the journal’s scope and are properly prepared according to the guidelines will be sent to 2-4 reviewers for evaluation.
Open Access Policy
All research articles published in the journal are fully open access and freely available to read, share, and download.
