Abstract

This study was carried out aimed to identify the impact of applying the European Excellence Model (EFQM) (orientation, implementation, results) in the management of the Saudi Aramco Refinery at Yanbu on the level of organizational sustainability in its dimensions (economic, environmental, sociality). The descriptive analytical approach was used in describing the phenomenon and analyzing its data and the relationship between its components. The data was collected using a questionnaire from a sample of (257) employees, out of a total study population of (759) employees in the management of the Saudi Aramco Yanbu Refinery. The results showed that the level of organizational sustainability in the refinery management was very high, with an arithmetic mean (4.34 out of 5) and a relative weight (87%). The results also showed that the application of the European Excellence Model enjoys high quality and efficiency, with a general average (4.32 out of 5) and a relative weight (87%), which reflects the commitment of the administration to the institutional excellence standards. The results showed a significant impact of the level of application of the European Excellence Model (EFQM) in its all dimensions (orientation, implementation, results) on the organizational sustainability at the Saudi Aramco Yanbu Refinery. When looking at the three dimensions together, it was found that the dimensions of ``implementation'' and ``results'' were the most influential on organizational sustainability, while ``orientation'' had no significant impact. This reflects that the success of the European Excellence Model in promoting organizational sustainability requires focusing on implementing strategies in a very effective way, and reviewing and analyzing results to ensure continuous improvement in performance. The study recommends continuing commitment to the standards of the European Excellence Model and developing strategies that enhance the quality of organizational performance. Focusing on long-term strategic planning to ensure the continuity of excellence and achieving goals. Enhancing implementation processes using innovative management techniques and methods. Taking into account the differences in employee evaluation according to job titles and supporting different categories to achieve professional satisfaction. Committing to implementing sustainable environmental practices and reducing negative environmental impacts. Raising employee awareness of the importance of organizational sustainability and its role in institutional success.
