Abstract

This research attempts to identify common locations from which dust storms blow in Imam Turki bin Abdullah Royal Reserve, to estimate how much dust each source contributes with using Remote Sensing Technology. This process facilitates proposing proper solutions to reduce the effects of dust emissions. This will be conducted through extracting spectral reflections from both bands: third and seventh of Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) of the moon during Spring throughout (2003-2024), and applying natural dust indicator of ARC gis Pro. Findings revealed that dust sources contributions are: North-west area of the reserve is the major source of the dust (63%), then the middle area from the west (31%), and far south (6%). That stressed the significance of soil geology factor in this issue, facilitating provision of equipment and applying solutions for this issue.

يُحاول هذا البحث تحديد المواقع السائدة التي تنبعث منها العواصف الغبارية في محميّة الإمام تركي بن عبد الله الملكيّة بهدف تقدير مساهمة كل مصدر في كميات الغبار المنتشر في المحمية من خلال تطبيق تقنيات الاستشعار عن بعد. الأمر الذي يسهّل تقديم الحلول المناسبة لمعالجتها للحد من تأثيراتها، ومن خلال استخلاص الانعكاسات الطيفية من: النطاقين الثالث والسابع من الصور الفضائية للقمرMODIS خلال فصل الربيع للفترة بين (2003-2024) وتطبيق مؤشر الغبار الطبيعي في برنامج ARC gis Pro عليها ؛تبيّن أن الجزء الشمالي الغربي من المحميّة هو المُصدّر الأكبر للغبار فيها بنسبة 63% يليه وسط المحمية من جهة الغرب ويُساهم بنسبة 31% بينما أقصى الجنوب يساهم بما يقارب 6% تقريبًا من الغبار المنبعث في المحميّة، مما يؤكد أهمية عامل جيولوجيّة التربة ونوعها في ذلك، ويسهّل توفير الإمكانات وتنفيذ الحلول لمعالجتها.
